WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

Your baby's eyelids, which have been fused shut, begin to open ... along with a new set of eyelashes. Measuring 25cm crown to rump or 13 inches, and weighing about two pounds, four ounces, your baby already appears a lot like he or she will look at birth. The skin, though, is quite wrinkled due to constant immersion in amniotic fluid.

Wow, can you believe i'm in the third trimester already?!? And since they'll be taking Chase early, I only have 9-10 weeks left!!! It's starting to freak me out now!!!

Things are still going good. I did feel my first braxton hicks contractions last Friday. I was re-doing some stuff in the living room when they hit. I had to stop and relax a bit for them to let up. I also felt a few on Saturday while we were running errands. It's actually kind of neat, since I never felt them with Tyler! Chase is such an active little monkey....so much for my mellow babe! LOL So far he doesn't seem to have a set pattern for when he moves and when he sleeps. Sometimes it feels like I feel kicks and thumps all day long! Then when I lay down to sleep at night he'll start to thump on whatever side my belly is laying on.......and when I turn over, he'll switch to the other side. I can still press on my belly and feel him, although i'm not sure what exactly i'm feeling! LOL It's cute....i'll find a hard spot, then he'll kick or punch at it and move. Silly....LOL! I've also noticed he gets super active when Tyler is running around and singing. Heartburn is still kicking my butt, and i've noticed I can't bend over at all anymore. I'm also still peeing like crazy, but mainly at night time. I'm really cherishing every minute of this pregnancy, and I know i've gotten off so easy as far as symptoms go. I just can't believe our little guy wil be here soon.......

And we have........

A changing table!!!!!!!

Isn't it cute?!?!? And you won't believe where it came from.....Craigslist!!!! We had run some errands yesterday and when we got home I got online to post pics of the outfits we got for Chase. Well, just for the heck of it I decided to look at craigslist.......I typed in "changing table" and a listing came up for a table that I just feel in love with!!! It looked similar to the one we had. I noticed that the person selling it had just listed it, so I emailed them right away. I waited for a response and though to myself, "I'm sure it's already gone....." but lo and behold, I got a response.....and she still had it!!!! I immediately emailed her back and told her we would LOVE to have it and that we could meet anytime and anywhere. I was so worried it was going to fall through, though.....even though we had set up and time and place to meet. It just felt too good to be true. But, we met at 2pm today and when I saw the table in the back of their truck I started to get teary eyed....we were finally getting our changing table!!! The lady and her husband were so awesome....we got super lucky, that's for sure!! When we got it home I got to looking at it and it's so much nicer than the one we had.....it's SO nice and sturdy!!!!

I just want to once again say thank you to the wonderful lady who sold us the table.....you have restored my faith in craigslist once again!!!!! Photobucket

I love outlet shopping!!!!

We went over to the Carter outlet store today and found SO many cute things for Chase!!! I decided I wanted to do a monkey theme, and they had tons of outfits with monkeys on them! I swore I was done with buying clothes for him until after he was born, but I just couldn't resist......

Here is the first outfit I picked up....it's a cute light brown and the little tag on the left side says "Go Bananas":

And here is the back of it: Photobucket

The next two came as a two pack:

The last outfit we got was a must have....being from MD, you can't go without having an outfit with a crab on it:

The last thing we got were two adorable finger puppets....a crab and a monkey: (actually, Z found them and said Chase needed them...LOL)

Just going from the tags alone, all of that was over $55.....and we got it for $30!!! Like I said, I love outlet shopping!!!! Photobucket

Today's appointment: EDITED

9:00am/Dr. Elder - We had an awesome appointment!! We saw our regular OB and I swear, that office is totally different than the high risk OB office. We love the high risk doctor's, but the nursing staff and techs are so snooty and cold. There is a nurse at the office we went to today that just loves Ty, and he loves her too!! In fact, he walked right up to her and hugged her today! I just love all the nurses in that office, and the doctor is simply amazing! Ok, so on to the actual appointment! LOL My pressure was great, weight gain was really good and Chase's heartbeat was perfect! 147bpm. I was also measuring right where I should be, a little over 27 weeks. We did find out today that I will be induced 2 weeks early, which would put me at 38 weeks. Ty was born just after 38 weeks so I figured it would be the same this time with Chase as well. That's also if things still continue to go good. We also found out we get our 3D ultrasound on April 13th!! Photobucket And, after that appointment we have an ultrasound done every week! Photobucket We did find out that we have to pay for the 3D ultrasound ourselves since the insurance won't cover it, but Z said since this is our last baby we would have it done. I'm just so excited about seeing Chase in 3D in a little over two weeks and then seeing him every week!

Our next appointment will be April 9th with the high risk OB in the morning.

It's official

Last night we were laying in bed and about to go to sleep when Chase started his usual thumping and kicking. I was laying on my right side and I could feel him kicking pretty hard against the mattress, but every once in awhile I could feel a thump on the left side of my tummy. When I would lay my hand on my tummy I could feel him thump, so I asked Z to give me his hand to see if he could feel it. He rolled over and placed his hand on my tummy and after a few minutes I felt a pretty good thump.....before I could ask Z if he felt it too, he said "Hey, I felt that!" We were both so excited!!!

So, it is official.....Z has definitely felt Chase move from the outside!!! I can't wait to see Ty's face when he gets to feel it. :)

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

Your baby weighs just about two pounds now. The length of his or her body is 12 1/2 inches or two centimetres crown to rump. If someone puts their ear to your belly, your baby's heartbeat will probably be distinguishable. He or she will probably be very active between weeks 24 and 28. You may notice in the weeks to come that your baby will begin to have regular, predictable patterns of movement and sleep.

Ok....didn't I just turn 26 weeks like yesterday?!? How can I be 27 weeks already?!?!? EEK!!!! Well, not much going on different with symptoms. I do tend to get sore hips and an achy back if I walk to much, which sucks on Saturdays when we do all of our running....sometimes we're gone for 4-5 hours at a time! I'm also peeing like I drank 10 gallons of water at once, so i'm up anywhere from 5-15 times a night to pee. Chase is moving what seems like constantly lately!! I actually felt him kick from the outside on Friday for the first time, and Z thinks he may have felt him Saturday morning. I can't wait until Tyler can feel Chase kick!! I tried a few times this weekend to have Tyler feel him when he was kicking pretty hard, but every time I would have Ty press on my tummy Chase would quit.....little stinker!!! I've also noticed if I press on my tummy I can actually feel parts of Chase.....i'll be pressing and feel something hard/solid, then all of the sudden i'll feel him either kick or move under my fingers!! It's cool, but also kind of creepy!! LOL He's also responding to our voices more and more. Anytime Z talks to my belly i'll feel Chase either roll or kick. And anytime Ty sings silly or is running around making noise Chase will kick tons! Tyler has also been calling him Chasein instead of Chase, so I asked him why does he call him Chasein.....he said his baby's name was Mason, so Chase is now Chasein (pronounced like Mason).....LOL!!!!

We see the regular OB this Thursday, and i'm going to ask if they will eventually do a 3D ultrasound, plus i'm going to ask when they plan to induce since they will be doing that early.

So frustrated with craigslist

Ugh, I am so freakin disgusted with Craigslist. I've been searching on there for a changing table at a decent price, and I had found at least 4 that were just like the one I had for Tyler. (we left it at my MIL's house because she was using it to keep her photo albums on, and she ended up giving it away without asking us!) I contacted at least three different people about tables and not one responded to let me know if; a) they still had the table or b) it has been sold. How hard is it to respond to an email if you're selling something?!? Or at least update your listing on craigslist to show sold or pending pick up......or just pull the listing!!! Then, Z called someone about a changing table and made arrangements to pick it up after work at 6pm.....she gave him directions to her home and everything. He ended up leaving work early to go pick it up and when he got to her house, she had sold it right out from under him!!! I am SO done with craigslist, I don't care WHAT kind of deal it is!!! Photobucket

I was informed......

...this morning by my 5 year old; "Eww, you have gross hair on your tummy mom...." Photobucket

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

Your baby is most active between weeks 24 to 28, when small size and ample amniotic fluid allow for freedom of movement. You may feel your baby jump in response to loud sounds or even notice a reaction to bright light aimed at the uterus. The latter indicates good optic nerve function. Studies indicate that the foetus can respond to touch now. Your baby is around 12 inches from head to toe (23cm crown to rump), and weighs one pound, 12oz.

Still no real change in symptoms. Chase is definitely a mover and shaker now! He loves to roll and thump constantly. We still haven't been able to feel him from the outside yet, but that's mainly because of the "extra padding" I have....LOL!!! I love feeling those little thumps inside, though.......this pregnancy is going by so fast. :(

As of tomorrow....

I will be in double digits!!! PhotobucketOnly 99 days to go as of the 14th. And considering i'll be induced earyl, it's even less days then that!! I can not believe how fast this pregnancy is going.........

Today's appointment

7:30am/Dr. Hennessy;high risk office - So today's appointment wasn't too bad. I really love the doctor's that we have seen, but the nurses are not all that friendly and now I tend to dread going into that office. Although I love seeing Chase any chance I get!! Anyhoo, my pressure was slightly up, but still not too bad. The ultrasound went good considering the tech was so cold and uncaring.....and she was talking so low we had to ask her to repeat herself several times. (we had her last time and she was the same then......I don't know who is worse, the nurses or the ultrasound tech!) But Chase looked great! He was measuring great and everything looked the way it was supposed to. I kind of thought he was fairly low, but it turns out his head is towards my left rib and his feet are to the right and below my belly button! LOL He weighs 2.2 lbs now! The doctor came in after a few minutes of the tech leaving and asked how everything was going. He sat there for a minute or so going through my chart, and then says "Ahh, you have gallstones, huh?" I looked at him and said "WHAT?!?!? I do?!?" He said the tech saw them when she was doing the ultrasound.....well, why the hell didn't she say anything to me?!?!?!? So I asked what I can do or can be done about them and he said not a thing. All I can do at this point is avoid super fatty foods, which I had been doing for quite some time now. He said if I have any type of gallbladder pain to either call his office or my regular OB. Nice..........Photobucket

Anyhoo, here are the pics we got today of my little monkey...........

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

Your baby weighs one pound, nine ounces, and measures 22cm crown to rump, or 11 1/2 inches. Your baby's ears work well now, and he or she may even blink in reaction to a loud noise. The brain is growing rapidly. If you could look inside your uterus, you'd see a well-proportioned head and body. The baby's first meconium stool has been formed in the large intestine and will be excreted in the days following the birth. Some babies will have a movement in the amniotic fluid before the birth.

Time is going by so fast! I swear it seems like only yesterday we were talking about getting my IUD out, and now here I am 6 months pregnant.

Not much new to report on the symptoms, other than some pressure from time to time. I honestly think Chase must be super low. We go to the high risk doctor Thursday for an ultrasound so we'll find out just how low he is. We can't wait to see him again!!!

Pressure

On Wednesday I had what felt like lots of pressure really low, like my hoo-haa was ready to fall out! It was really uncomfortable. Well, yesterday morning and early afternoon is was completely gone and I felt really good.....until late afternoon. :( The pressure came back in full force. It hurt to stand, sit and even lay down. It finally eased up after laying in bed for about an hour last night, and so far today *knock on wood* it hasn't come back. I don't remember getting this kind of pressure this early with Ty....I guess Chase has found a comfy spot super low in there and doesn't like to move much from it! LOL

Despite all the pressure, i've been feeling lots of thumps and rolls the past week! Sometimes it seems like he's been moving for over an hour straight!! I so love that feeling..........

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

Rapid eye movement has begun. Your baby, weighing in at one pound, six ounces, and measuring 21cm crown to rump, or 11 1/2 inches, has a five to 20 per cent chance of survival if born today. This rises considerably, to almost 70 per cent, once your baby reaches two pounds. Ninety per cent of infants weighing between two and four pounds survive.

Wow, it's hard to believe i'm already 6 months pregnant!!! This pregnancy has gone by so quickly.....

As for symptoms, nothing new to report. This pregnancy has been wonderful! It took a little time to get my pressure and sugars under control, but both are just perfect. Chase has been moving around like crazy the past week! I love feeling those little thumps and rolls..........it's hard to believe Chase will be here in 3 months!!!
