Results are in
So the doctors office called with the results from our NT screening last week......and everything is just fine!!! Nibbles risk of Down Syndrome is 1 in 5,981 and the risk for Trisomy 13 and 18 was 1 in 4,181! She said the baby was doing great and that they would see me sometime next month. :) I knew things would work out fine, but it feels so good to have that reassurance.

You know I don't do those tests--did I ever tell you why? Because Maryjean came up high risk and it was so stressful because the sub OB/GYN was talking abortion only when I said absolutely not and he knew I was serious did he send me to a geneticist. Grrr. I wish I had had my regular Dr when I went through that. So I didn't do it with Jon-Christopher or Elway.

Oh trust me, I will not be doing any other tests!! I think we honestly had the NT test done just to get a glimpse at Nibbles again! LOL We told them no matter what the results were, there was nothing they could tell us that would make me terminate. Some doctors are so damn insensitive.
It's true. That guy, I hope he's not an OB/GYN anymore. He was obviously gay--no big deal--but he really acted like he didn't like dealing with women. Ugh. He freaked me out. Thank God we didn't listen. And if we were a family who would terminate, we would have missed out on Maryjean who is totally healthy and not impaired in anyway. It sounds too much like Eugenics. I mean shudder.
